- 8 - 37/86 ABSTRACT High-voltage apparatus The high-voltage apparatus has a casing (1), filled with an insulating medium, in which there is an active part (6) connected to high voltage and a pressure- relief valve (2) closing off this casing (1). The pres- sure-relief valve (2) includes a hinged cover (9) and a bending spring (12) acting on the cover (9). With this high-voltage apparatus, the pressure- relief valve (12) is intended to respond extremely quick- ly to changes in pressure of the insulating medium loca- ted in the casing (1). This is achieved by at least a part of the bend- ing spring (12) lying in the current path of the active part (6) connected to high voltage, and by this part of the bending spring (12) being designed in such a way that the rigidity of this bending spring (12) suddenly reduces above a limit value of the current supplied to the active part.
