A puller or extractor for removing arrowheads embedded in material such as wood, comprising a rod having a front end with an internally screw threaded socket suitable for engaging the threaded boss of an arrowhead, the rod also having an external screw thread and a rear end part suitable for hand manipulation; and a sleeve having a front end cavity for accommodating the arrowhead. An internally screw threaded bore extends inwardly from a rear end of the sleeve and engages the external screw thread of the rod. The arrangement is such that the rod can be hand rotated by its rear end part to engage the front end of the rod with the boss of the arrowhead, after which the sleeve can be hand rotated in contact with the material surrounding the arrowhead, while the rod is held against rotation by the arrowhead, to draw the arrowhead out of the material and into a withdrawn position in the cavity of the sleeve.
Outil servant à arracher ou à extraire les têtes de flèche enfoncées dans un matériau, comme le bois. L'outil comprend une tige portant à son extrémité avant une douille à filetage externe et à filetage interne pouvant se visser sur la protubérance filetée d'une tête de flèche. La tige est également munie d'une pièce arrière pouvant être manipulée à la main. L'outil comporte un manchon, dont la partie avant peut recevoir une tête de flèche, ainsi qu'un dispositif à filetage interne rentrant dans la partie arrière du manchon et se vissant sur le filetage externe de la tige. L'outil est conçu de manière à ce que la partie arrière de la tige puisse être tournée à la main pour visser la tige sur la protubérance de la tête de flèche. Par la suite, le manchon peut être tourné à la main et mis en contact avec le matériau entourant la tête de flèche, tandis que cette dernière empêche la tige de tourner, pour extraire du matériau la tête de flèche qui se rétractera dans la partie avant du manchon.
