2073034 9208411 PCTABS00013 The artery clamp (10) of the invention includes a base (12) which has an elongate rod (18) mounted normal thereto. An elongate sleeve (20) having a central bore (22) is carried on the rod (18). The sleeve (20) includes a channel (24) which extends the length thereof, which channel (24) has an axially extending slot (26) along at least a portion of its length. The rod (18) is received in the central bore (22) to allow rotation of the sleeve (20) relative to the base (12) of the artery clamp. An arm structure (54) extends laterally outwardly from the sleeve (20) and includes an extensible portion (64) which is laterally adjustable relative to the sleeve and which includes a mechanism (72) for carrying a pressure pad (76) thereon.
