An insole especially advantageous for arthritic or diabetic patients comprises three layers and is shaped in a form which provides an arch support and an integral heel receiving area. It is made from a generally foot-shaped bottom layer having a length extending from a heel area to a toe area, a top surface and a bottom surface. The bottom surface of the bottom layer preferably further comprises one to three indentations formed integrally therein. Insert layers are secured to each of said indentations. Preferably, the bottom layer is made from an EVA foam. A middle layer having a first and second side is secured to the top surface of the bottom layer adjacent the middle layer's second side. The middle layer is preferably made of a synthetic rubber layer. The middle layer takes the shape of the bottom layer. A top layer is coextensive with and secured to the first side of the synthetic rubber layer. The top layer composition is selected according to the intended use. In use, the foot of the wearer, with or without a sock or stocking thereon, rests upon the top layer in the foot-receiving compartment of the shoe.
L'invention concerne une semelle intérieure spécialement avantageuse pour des patients atteints d'arthrite ou de diabète comprenant trois couches et sous une forme qui confère un support en arc et comporte une zone solidaire réceptrice de cheville. Elle est constituée d'une couche inférieure globalement en forme de pied ayant une longueur s'étendant depuis une zone de cheville vers une zone d'orteil, une surface supérieure et une surface inférieure. La surface inférieure de la couche inférieure comprend de préférence en outre une à trois indentations formées solidairement à l'intérieur. Des couches d'insert sont fixées à chacune desdites indentations. De préférence, la couche inférieure est constituée d'une mousse d'EVA. Une couche médiane ayant un premier et un second côté est fixée à la surface supérieure de la couche inférieure adjacente au second côté de la couche médiane. La couche médiane est de préférence constituée d'une couche de caoutchouc synthétique. La couche médiane prend la forme de la couche inférieure. Une couche supérieure est coétendue avec et fixée au premier côté de la couche de caoutchouc synthétique. La composition de la couche supérieure est choisie selon l'utilisation prévue. En utilisation, le pied du porteur, avec ou sans chaussette ou bas, repose sur la couche supérieure dans le compartiment recevant le pied de la chaussure.
