ABSTRACT The present invention relates to a non-toxic arthropod control composition applied to foliage for plant protection. The composition includes one, or more, Behaviour-Interfering Compounds (BIC), agricultural oil and/or surface active compounds, and agriculturally acceptable diluents. The BIC is any known conventional compound that can interrupt or alter the normal behaviourial sequences of the target. The agricultural oil can be a vegetable oil. The phytotoxicity of the BIC's is masked while their efficacy against target pests is increased by formulating them with agricultural oils. A method for protecting plants against arthropod damage by applying or spraying the foliage with the arthropod control composition is also disclosed.
