An article for supporting aromatic wood chips in a grill includes a substantially imperforate chip-supporting plate formed of a pair of components which are substantially identical to one another. Both components have openings for receiving a common fastener and at least one opening is elongate to permit positioning the components one to the other. There are first and second angled edge portions extending below the plate and oriented substantially parallel to one another. Each edge portion has a plurality of deformations, e.g., notches cut in each edge portion, for mounting the article. A grill and method involving the new article are also disclosed.
Article servant à supporter des copeaux de bois aromatiques dans un grill comprenant une plaque de support substantiellement perforée constituée d'une paire de composants sensiblement identiques, les deux composants présentant des ouvertures pour la réception d'une fixation commune et au moins une ouverture allongée pour permettre le positionnement des composants l'un par rapport à l'autre. On retrouve la première et la deuxième partie de bordure se prolongeant au-dessous de la plaque et orientées de manière sensiblement parallèle l'une par rapport à l'autre. Chaque partie de bordure comporte une pluralité de déformations, par exemple des encoches taillées dans chaque rebord, pour le montage de l'article. L'invention concerne également un grill et une méthode faisant intervenir le nouvel article.
