ABSTRACT An article for protecting a multiconductor connector comprising a container containing a layer of gel. In one embodiment the container can be moved relative to the container to compress the gel to seal the connector. In another embodiment the gel layer contains a plurality of holes which tend to close when the gel is compressed.
