A method and apparatus for the accurate formation of a three-dimensional article. A three-dimensional article (38) is formed by suppling droplets (36) of a material with a uniform size and charge. The supply of droplets is focused into a narrow stream by passing through or adjacent to an alignement means (30). The droplets are deposited in a predetermined pattern at a predetermined rate onto a target to form the three-dimensional article (38) without the use of a mold.

L'invention porte sur un procédé et un appareil permettant de produire avec précision un article tridimensionnel. On fabrique un article tridimensionnel (38) par un apport de gouttelettes (36) constituées d'un matériau de taille et de charge identiques. On concentre l'alimentation en gouttelettes en un courant étroit en le faisant transiter par un dispositif d'alignement (30) à proximité de celui-ci. On dépose les gouttelettes selon un motif prédéterminé et à une vitesse prédéfinie sur une cible afin de constituer l'article tridimensionnel (38) sans utiliser de moule.
