Abstract of the Disclosure This invention relates to an article or manufacture having a dielectric protective coating thereon produced by applying to an article, such as an electronic device, a powdered curable dielectric coating composition and heating the powdered article to a temperature and for a period of time sufficient to form a fully cured dielectric coating on the article, the curable dielectric composition comprising at least one 1, 2 polyepoxy compound combined with a functionally terminated elastomer and a curing agent mixture which comprises an imidazoline derivative combined with an adduct of (a) a polyhydroxyl compound and (b) a diglycidyl ether of the polyhydeoxyl compound, where reactant (b) is present in a less than equimolar amount to seactant (a). The combination of the imidazoline compound and the adduct producing a synergistic effect resulting in enhanced thermal cycling characteristics.
