An article of ornament which comprises a body (11), a motion or sound generator, a solar cell (16) supported by the body (11), said solar cell (16) being electrically connected to and for driving the motion or sound generator, and holding means (17) provided adjacent the solar cell (16) for holding an external light bulb (9') such that the light bulb (9') so held may illuminate and thus energise the solar cell (16).
