A selecting apparatus for removing a single article from a stack of articles and for placing the single article at a selected position within a group of products includes structure for removing the single article from the stack, for moving the single article in a downward direction and for placing the single article at the selected position within the group of products. The structure includes a pair of conveyors located on either side of the single article for guiding the single article in the downward direction. The distance between the conveyors can be adjusted as can the rate at which the article is removed from the stack. The apparatus can accommodate articles of varying widths and can alter the speed at which the articles are moved downwardly so as to correspond to a speed of a product conveyor on which the group of products is being moved downstream.
Un appareil de sélection destiné à retirer un seul article d'une pile d'articles et à placer ce dernier à un endroit prédéfini au sein d'un groupe de produits comprend une structure visant le retrait d'un seul article d'une pile d'articles pour ensuite déplacer ce dernier vers le bas et le placer à l'endroit sélectionné au sein d'un groupe de produits. La structure comporte deux transporteurs situés de part et d'autre de l'article ciblé et destinés à diriger ce dernier vers le bas. La distance entre les transporteurs peut être réglée, tout comme la vitesse à laquelle l'article est retiré de la pile. L'appareil peut accepter des articles de différentes largeurs, et la vitesse à laquelle l'article est déplacé vers le bas peut aussi être réglée afin de correspondre à la vitesse à laquelle le groupe de produits se déplace également vers le bas.
