A dishwasher washes off leftovers adhering to tableware by washing water spouted toward the interior of a shower sink (12) and washes away the leftovers falling down into the shower sink (12) by the washing water. The cross-sectional shape of the shower sink (12) has a bottom wall (12a) of large curvature, a first lateral wall (12b) rising substantially upright from one end of the bottom wall (12a), and a second lateral wall (12c) having a curvature smaller than that of the bottom wall (12a) and rising from the other end of the bottom wall (12a). The flow channel cross-sectional area of the bottom wall (12a) is smaller than that of the shower sink (12) having a quadrangular or circular cross-section; therefore, even if water is saved by reducing the flow rate of washing water, it is possible to increase the flow rate of washing water flowing in the bottom wall (12a) to effectively wash away the leftovers.

La surface en section transversale du canal d'écoulement de la paroi inférieure (12a) est inférieure à celle de l'évier à douchette (12) présentant une section quadrangulaire ou circulaire ; par conséquent, même si de l'eau est économisée par diminution du débit d'eau de lavage, il est possible d'augmenter le débit d'eau de lavage s'écoulant au niveau de la paroi inférieure (12a) afin d'évacuer efficacement les restes.
