Dynamic stabilization apparatus and methods in the context of a spinal implant configured to constraine intervertebral movement, where the constraint is meant to eliminate unwanted, non-physiologic motions. The system provides dynamic stability to motion in a compromised spinal joint by allowing motion along a centrode of the instant axis of rotation (IAR) that substantially approximates the normal centrode for the respective spinal joint.

L'invention concerne un appareil et des procédés de stabilisation dynamique à utiliser dans le contexte d'un implant rachidien et conçus pour contraindre un déplacement intervertébral, la contrainte étant conçue pour éliminer des mouvements non souhaités non physiologiques. Le système confère une stabilité dynamique au mouvement dans une articulation rachidienne abîmée du fait qu'il permette l'exécution d'un mouvement le long d'un centrode de l'axe instantané de rotation (IAR) approchant sensiblement le centrode normal de l'articulation rachidienne respective.
