PRECIS La pièce d'articulation se compose de deux coquilles en tôle emboutie destinées à être assemblées au moyen d'un verrouillage par boulon et écrou. Chacune des deux coquilles comprend une pièce circulaire concave comportant un fond plat et un rebord annulaire présentant des plis ondulés constitués de crêtes et de creux qui sont arrondis. Le rebord est généralement interrompu à l'emplacement d'un embout destiné à être fixé à une extrémité des montants longitudinaux d'un support pliant. Cette pièce d'articulation est prévue pour l'assemblage de tronçons d'échelle pliante ou d'échafaudage.
