An artificial intervertebral implant (1) including a first baseplate (10) having a top surface (20), a bottom surface (22), an aperture (30) extending therethrough and a strap (34) attached to the bottom surface (22) of the first baseplate (10) and underlying the aperture (30). The implant (1) further includes a second baseplate (12) juxtaposed with the first baseplate (10). The second baseplate (12) includes a top surface (50) with a cavity (54) exposed therein. An articulating element (14) is attached to a pair of opposing sidewalls (58, 59) of the cavity (54) for retaining the strap (34) within the cavity (54).

L'invention concerne un implant intervertébral artificiel (1) qui comprend une première plaque support (10) présentant une surface supérieure (20), une surface inférieure (22), une ouverture (30) qui s'étend à travers celle-ci et une sangle (34) reliée à la surface inférieure (22) de la première plaque support (10) et disposée sous l'ouverture (30). Ledit implant (1) comprend en outre une seconde plaque support (12) juxtaposée à la première plaque support (10). Cette seconde plaque support (12) comprend une surface supérieure (50) dans laquelle est formée une cavité (54). Un élément d'articulation (14) est relié à une paire de parois latérales opposées (58, 59) de la cavité (54) afin que la sangle (34) soit retenue à l'intérieur de ladite cavité (54).
