ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A laminate, suitable for use as a shoe upper material or for upholstery, consists essentially of a) a layer of permeable fabric made of interlaced multifibre yarns and having a flat upper face, the interlaced yarn structure of said fabric having a drape stiffness less than 21/4 inches and preferably at least 11/4 inches. b) a layer of water vapour permeable microporous elastomeric polymer having a density in the range of 0.3 to 0.4 g/cm3 and a thickness of 0.3 to 0.8 mm; c) an elastomeric adhesive bonding the lower face of said microporous layer to the upper face of said fabric, said adhesive being in contact with the upper surface of said fabric, and said fabric being substantially non-impregnated by said adhesive, and preferably d) a skin of film-forming flexible polymeric material, on the upper face of said microporous layer, having a thickness of up to 70 microns and a density of at least 1g/cm3..
