ABSTRACT A device for artistic movements in apparent weightlessness and apparent freedom from the natural limits in movements of physical bodies in form of an artistic instrument comprises a spar having devices for supporting a performer attachable the front end, and devices for counteracting the weight of the performer and controls in the rear end. The soar is connected to a stationary or ambulatory fulcrum by a joint allowing horizontal, vertical and rotating movements of the spar ends. The devices for supporting a performer are movable in pitch and yaw axis in relation tot he spar and may have devices for supporting and, grabbing-holding-releasing a performer in swift actions. All movements may be done simultaneously and with sensitive control to the quality, characteristics and complexity of artistic dance.
