A support for an artist's tool such as a paintbrush or pen is provided. The apparatus suspends the paintbrush or tool such that the bristles or nib remain partially immersed in liquid medium, thus preventing it from drying out during a work session. The apparatus can be adjusted to fit various size tools and for variable depths of the container or liquid. In use the device prevents the bristles from being deformed from prolonged contact with the bottom or sides of the container. SUMMARY Artists using quick drying mediums are faced with the problem of preventing the brush or pen from drying out during pauses in work. The usual practice of leaving a brush soaking in a container, resting on its bristles, inevitably deforms the tip rendering it useless for fine work. With pens the finger-grip often becomes coated in the medium, making the risk of stained fingers smudging the work a probability. The object of this invention is to provide a means of suspending an artist's paintbrush or tool in a container of fluid so that the brush or tool may remain saturated. Additionaly in the case of a paintbrush the bristles are prevented from contacting the sides or bottom of the container avoiding the resulting deformation of the tip.
