Arylsulfonylureas, processes for their preparation, and their use as herbicides and growth regulators The invention relates to novel herbicidal and plant growth-regulating compounds of the formula (I) or salts thereof, (see formula I) where Q, W, R, R, R, R, Y and Z are defined as in formula (I) as claimed in claim 1. They can be obtained by reacting novel compounds of the formula (see formula II) with a heterocyclic carbamate of the formula (III) (see formula III) where R' is unsubstituted or substituted aryl or alkyl. Analogously, they may be prepared by reacting a phenyl- sulfonyl carbamate or sulfonyl isocyanate corresponding to the compound (II) with a compound of the formula (V): -104- (see formula V) The herbicides are particularly suitable for selectively controlling weeds.
