ASHTRAY, ESPECIALLY FOR MOTOR VEHICLES Abstract of the Disclosure In an ashtray, a pivotally mounted closure member of an ashtray housing engages through pins arranged in the lateral portions of said closure member into vertically extending guide tracks arranged in the sidewalls of an ash receptacle. The pivot axis of the closure member and the pins engaging into the guide tracks are arranged such that when the closure member is moved into the open position, the ash receptacle is automatically moved forwardly, and is automatically returned into its storage position when the closure member is being closed.
