ASPHALT-BASED COMPOSITIONS ABSTRACT A composition, especially useful for making coating compositions, and having unusually good properties, comprises at least one solvent extracted hard asphalt, at least one polyhydroxy polymer, and, optionally, at least one filler and at least one stable, non-volatile, tertiary amine catalyst. This composition, where combined with at least one poly- isocyanate, forms a composition especially useful for coatings, particularly finish coatings.
