Asphalt is packaged in consumable containers (10) having breakage means, such as short notches or long channels (110, 111), to allow for easy breakage into smaller portions for ease of handling and feeding into kettles. The containers (10) are advantageously made of an asphalt-polymer composition so that the entire asphalt package (5) may be melted in a kettle, for example, for use in a roofing or paving application. The containers (10) may have various features to enhance processability and handleability, including a generally rectangular shape and multi-faceted or stepped sides (20) and/or walls (30) with handhold portions and/or scooped portions (220, 320).
L'asphalte est conditionné dans des récipients fusibles (10) pourvus de moyens de rupture, tels que de courtes encoches ou de longs canaux (110, 111), de manière qu'ils puissent être facilement cassés en parties plus petites, ce qui les rend plus faciles à manipuler, en vue de leur introduction dans des fondoirs. Les récipients (10) sont avantageusement constitués d'une composition asphalte-polymère de manière que la totalité du conditionnement (5) pour asphalte puisse fondre dans un fondoir, notamment dans le cadre d'une application de couverture de toit ou de pavage.
