The present invention is directed to a method for qualitatively or quantitatively measuring substance A in a sample solution, which comprises: immobilizing substance B capable of specifically binding substance A to a particulate carriers contacting the particulate carrier to which substance B has been immobilized with the sample solution suspected to contain substance A: and detecting substance A bound to the particulate carrier through substance B by means of flow cytometry. The method of the present invention is useful in the fields of immunology, molecular biology, diagnosis and the like.
