A method of assembling and shaping a laminate panel. An intermediate member (3) is mounted on a lay-up table (4) and a lay-up is assembling by laying a series of plies onto the intermediate member (3) on the lay-up table (4). The intermedi-ate member (3) and the lay- up are then removed from the lay-up table and placed them on a shaped surface. The lay-up is then forced against the shaped surface, via the intermediate member (3), in a manner that modifies the shape of the lay-up to form a shaped laminate panel (3). Finally the shaped laminate panel is removed from the intermediate member. The lay-up table (4) can thus support the flexible intermediate member (3) during assembly, and can be relatively flat to enable the lay-up to assembled by an automated process.

L'invention concerne un procédé pour monter et façonner un panneau stratifié. Un élément intermédiaire est monté sur une table de superposition et une superposition est obtenue en disposant une série de couches sur l'élément intermédiaire se trouvant sur la table de superposition. L'élément intermédiaire et la superposition de couches sont ensuite retirés de la table de superposition et disposés sur une surface façonnée.
