A blade insert assembly (5) and frame (4) therefor for a blading boot (1) are securable on a base of the frame (4) to a sole (2) of the blading boot (1) for ice--skating. The blade insert assembly (5) accommodates two blade elements (22,24) in tandem, each blade element (22, 24) being secured via an insert adjustment mechanism and a mounting pin to the frame (4).
