A mold tool (10) includes upper and lower sections (12,14) defining a cavity (20) within which a plastic film preform (26) is placed before injection of plastic forming a molded article. The plastic film (26) extends between an interface (30) defined between the sections (12,14) of the mold (10). The interface (20) secures a position of the plastic film (26) within the mold tool (10) preventing movement during injection of plastic. The interface (30) is specifically configured to secure the plastic film (26) without damage. The specific configuration of the interface (30) is determined according to a relationship between molding process parameters and physical characteristics of the plastic film (26).

L'invention concerne une matrice (10) de moulage comprenant des sections (12,14) supérieure et inférieure qui définissent une cavité (20) à l'intérieur de laquelle on place une préforme (26) constituée d'une feuille de plastique, avant d'injecter du plastique pour former un article moulé.
