A tube cutting assembly has a pair of opposite, rotatable cutting wheels (6, 18), the outer of which is movable into engagement with a rotatable tube (3) for cutting through the tube wall (5). Each cutting wheel (6, 18) is provided with a peripheral elastic ring (10, 22) which is configured to engage the tube wall (5) and which is compressible towards the opposite cutting wheel. As a result, undesirable deformations of the cut tube end are avoided.

L'invention concerne un ensemble permettant de découper un tube pourvu d'une paire de molettes rotatives opposées (6, 18), la partie externe pouvant venir en prise avec un tube rotatif (3) afin de découper à travers la paroi du tube (5). Chaque molette (6, 18) est pourvue d'un anneau élastique périphérique (10, 22) qui est configuré de manière à venir en prise avec la paroi du tube (5) et qui peut être comprimé vers la molette opposée. Des déformations indésirables de l'extrémité du tube découpé sont ainsi évitées.
