A circuit breaker has a trip unit and an assembly for electrically connecting the trip unit to the circuit breaker. The assembly includes a mounting plate having a notch formed along a side thereof for slidably receiving a terminal housing having slots formed therein for receiving the mounting plate. The terminal housing also includes a plurality of bores extending therethrough. Each bore includes a female connector disposed therein, each female connector having a leadwire extending therefrom to the circuit breaker mechanism. The trip unit includes a plurality of pin conductors which are received in the plurality of bores, and more specifically, are received in the female connectors disposed therein.

L'ensemble comprend une plaque de montage comportant une entaille formée sur un de ses côtés pour recevoir de manière coulissante un logement de bornes muni de fentes destinées à recevoir la plaque de montage. Le logement de bornes comprend aussi une série de trous qui le traversent. Chaque trou contient un raccord femelle placé à son intérieur; chaque connecteur femelle possède un fil conducteur qui se prolonge jusqu'au mécanisme du disjoncteur. Le dispositif de déclenchement compte plusieurs conducteurs mâles qui se logent dans la série de trous, et de manière plus précise, sont reçus dans les connecteurs femelles qui s'y trouvent.
