- 1 - Abstract: An assembly of a hub and a rim wheel for a vehicle avoids stress problems of the prior art. In addition to the conventional inwardly facing conical surface on the wheel, that is urged against a corresponding conical surface of the hub by clamping bolts with interposed clamp pieces, a wedge action is generated to transmit the urging force from each clamp piece to an outwardly facing conical surface on the wheel.
