The invention relates to a method for assembling titanium parts and steel parts by diffusion welding that comprises placing two thin spacers (14, 16) made of niobium or vanadium and of copper, respectively, between a titanium part (10) and a steel part (12), placing the part and spacer assembly under vacuum, and subjecting the same to hot isostatic compression at a temperature of between 900°C and 950°C and under a pressure of between 1000 and 1500 bars for about two hours. The invention also relates to the production of turbine shafts for turbine engines.

Procédé d'assemblage de pièces en titane et de pièces en acier par soudage diffusion, consistant à placer deux intercalaires minces (14, 16) de niobium ou de vanadium et de cuivre respectivement entre une pièce (10) en titane et une pièce (12) en acier, à mettre sous vide cet ensemble de pièces et d'intercalaires et à le soumettre à une compression isostatique à chaud à une température comprise entre 900°C et 950°C et à une pression comprise entre 1000 et 1500 bars pendant deux heures environ. L'invention s'applique notamment à la fabrication d'arbres de turbine pour turbomachine.
