An optical splitter (10) includes a main waveguide (11), a tapered waveguide (12), and a split waveguide group (15) having first and second split waveguides (13, 14). The side portions (23, 24) of the tapered waveguide (12) taper and expand from a first end portion (21) toward second end portions (22). The widths (W3, W4) of the split waveguides (13, 14) differ from each other. The whole width (W6) of the split waveguide group (15) at connecting portions between the tapered waveguide (12) and the split waveguides (13, 14) is smaller than the width (W2) of the tapered waveguide (12) at the second end portions (22). Step portions (30, 31) are formed between the split waveguide group (15) and the side portions (23, 24).

L'invention concerne un coupleur optique (10) comprenant un trajet de guide d'ondes principal (11), un trajet de guide d'ondes tronconique (12), un groupe de trajets de guide d'ondes branchés (15) composé d'un premier et d'un deuxième trajet de guide d'ondes branché (13, 14). Les deux parties latérales (23, 24) du trajet de guide d'ondes tronconique (12) s'écartent d'une première extrémité (21) vers une seconde extrémité (22). Les largeurs (W3, W4) des trajets de guide d'ondes branchés (13, 14) diffèrent, la largeur (W6) de l'ensemble du groupe de trajets de guide d'ondes branchés (15) est inférieure à la largeur (W2) de la seconde extrémité (22) dans une section de connexion entre le trajet de guide d'ondes tronconique (12) et les trajets de guide d'ondes branchés (13, 14).
