An asymmetric umbrella (10) comprising a canopy (25), a shaft (20) eccentrically disposed beneath the canopy (25); a runner (75) slidably mounted on said shaft (20) and slidable between a first position where the canopy (25) is collapsed and a second position where the canopy (25) is extended, and a plurality of rib assemblies (30, 35) having at least two different overall lengths and forming a canopy supporting frame (15). Each rib assembly is coupled to the apex (80) of the shaft (20) at a proximal end and fixed to the canopy (25) at a distal end. The distal ends of each rib assembly points in the same direction when the canopy is collapsed end the collapsed rib assemblies are of substantially uniform length.
L'invention concerne un parapluie asymétrique qui comprend un toit; une tige placée de manière excentrique sous ledit toit; un élément monté coulissant sur ladite tige entre une première position, dans laquelle le toit est replié, et une seconde position dans laquelle il est déployé; et plusieurs ensembles de nervures formant la structure de soutien du toit, chaque ensemble de nervure étant couplé au sommet de ladite tige à une extrémité proximale et fixé au toit à une extrémité distale.
