A system and method for signaling and delivering group communication data, such as push-to-talk (PTT) setup data, to a dormant wireless telecommunication device across a control channel on a wireless communication network. Each wireless telecommunication device is able to direct a single group communication stream to a designated target group of other wireless telecommunication devices, and the wireless telecommunication device has a dormant state in which the wireless telecommunication devices bridges a control channel with a communication server and an active state in which the wireless telecommunication device bridges a dedicated communication channel with the communication server. The wireless telecommunication device receives group communication setup data though a control channel for incoming group communications, and such delivery occurring without fully bridging a dedicated communication channel to that wireless telecommunication device.
L'invention concerne un système et une méthode pour signaler et distribuer des données de communication de groupe, notamment des données de configuration "pousser pour parler" (PTT), à un dispositif de télécommunication sans fil inactif, par un canal de commande, sur un réseau de communication sans fil. Chaque dispositif de télécommunication sans fil peut diriger un flux de communication de groupe unique vers un groupe cible désigné constitué d'autres dispositifs de télécommunication sans fil, et le dispositif de télécommunication sans fil présente un état inactif dans lequel les dispositifs de télécommunication sans fil relient un canal de commande à un serveur de communication, et un état actif dans lequel le dispositif de télécommunication sans fil relie un canal de communication spécifique à un serveur de communication. Le dispositif de télécommunication sans fil reçoit des données de configuration de communication de groupe par un canal de commande pour des communications de groupe entrantes, une telle distribution se produisant sans liaison complète d'un canal de communication spécifique à un dispositif de télécommunication sans fil.
