Athletic shoe (1) consisting of sole (2) and upper (3). On the inside there is an insole (5) for the foot and also a part to support the arch. This part (6) is characterized by an elastic, flexible piece extending from the insole (5) to an inner lateral face (3a) in the upper (3) and by mechanisms for adjusting (10) the volume that it delimits with the upper in at least one transversal motion with reference to the longitudinal axis of the foot.
