ABSTRACT The present invention provides an attaching method for a masking member comprising the attaching of a masking member made of polyolefin to a part of an article and fixing said masking member onto said part by an adhesive tape which is attached between the outside of said masking member and the surface of said article, and the present invention also provides a masking member used in said method. Applying said method, the adhesive layer of said adhesive tape does not transfer to the surface of said article when said masking member is removed from said part having been protected.
