ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE In order to provide a secure, stable, and rigid con- nection between a skate blade and a skate boot two mounting posts having two parallel cross-pieces on the boot side are connected by means of screws to a nut embedded in the boot. A guide slot in the cross-piece permits the lateral displacement of the skate blade. The attachment of the skate blade to the cross-piece of the mounting posts is effected by two screws each having a lock nut. The lock nut is accommodated in the guide groove of a shaped section which is formed of two bar portions. On being screwed together the shaped portion is tightened securely to the cross-piece. The mounting device which is suitable for racing skate and ice hockey boots permits the precise and simple adjustment of the skate blade relative to the boot and is of particularly light weight construction.
