A tire and a method of securing an object thereto includes a two-piece fastening system (22) having a first portion (20) which is applied to an innerliner (12) of a green tire prior to the green tire being cured and a second portion (30) which includes an object, such as a radio frequency identification chip (32), attached thereto. The first portion (20) of the two- piece fastening system is attached to the innerliner (12) of the tire with an adhesive or by curing. The green tire is then cured and the second portion (30) of the two-piece fastening system (22) with the object (32) attached thereto is then attached to the first portion (20) of the two-piece fastening system. In an alternative embodiment, the object (32) may be sandwiched between the first (20) and second portions (30) of the fastening system.

L'invention concerne un pneu et un procédé permettant d'y fixer un objet. Le procédé consiste à utiliser un système de fixation deux pièces (22) composé d'une première partie (20) que l'on applique à un calandrage intérieur (12) du pneu à l'état vert avant de vulcaniser celui-ci et d'une seconde partie (30) à laquelle est fixée un objet, tel qu'une puce d'identification par radiofréquences (32).
