ABSTRACT There are provided new and useful attachments for carrying steel cylinders for gas comprising a handgrip section terminating in an abutment section adapted to abut against a near side of the cylinder outlet tubing, and a generally U-shaped member extending outwardly from the handgrip section from a level below the abutment section and adapted to loop around a far side of the outlet tubing at a point between the abutment section and the top of the cylinder, whereby when the handgrip section is lifted and rotated relative to the cylinder so that the abutment section abuts against the tubing, the U-shaped section is drawn against the opposite side of the tubing to form an effective grip.
