An attrition resistant precipitated bulk iron catalyst is prepared from iron oxide precursor and a binder by spray drying. The catalysts are preferably used in carbon monoxide hydrogenation processes such as Fischer-Tropsch synthesis. These catalysts are suitable for use in fluidized-bed reactors, transport reactors, and, especially, slurry bubble column reactors.

L'invention concerne un catalyseur à haute teneur en fer résistant à l'attrition, préparé à partir d'un précurseur en oxyde de fer et un liant par séchage par pulvérisation. Ces catalyseurs sont utilisés de préférence dans des procédés d'hydrogénation du monoxyde de carbone, par exemple la synthèse de Fischer-Tropsch. On peut les utiliser dans des réacteurs à lit fluidisé, des réacteurs de transport et, en particulier, des réacteurs à colonne à bulles.
