A Mounting device for use with ATVs that can be semi-permanently attached to an ATV to allow an operator to attach and detach auxiliary items to the device, and correspondingly, to the ATV. The device includes a receiving socket to temporarily receive an adaptor, the receiving socket including a maintaining means for maintaining the adapter in the socket and allow the user to quickly secure and release the adapter, and a mounting assembly, coupled to the upper receiving socket and configured to be attached to the ATV. Using a plurality of adaptors, each having an auxiliary item attached, provides a mounting system for quickly interchanging auxiliary items and securing them to the ATV with minimum effort.
