The invention concerns an audible alarm for portable telephone or message receiver, comprising a detachable memory (42) designed to contain a customised or customisable audio message from a passband of at least 1 kHz. The detachable memory which can either be recorded on or already pre-recorded, is arranged in a housing provided with a connector (43).
