Abstract of the Disclosure Disclosed is an automatic focusing system, preferably for use in a camera, convertible to a manual focusing mode by the actuation of a movable member which when moved to a manual focusing position disables the automatic focusing and renders a manually actuable focusing means accessible and which, when in the automatic focusing mode, protects the manual focusing member from physical access while at the same time enabling the automatic focusing feature.
