ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE: An apparatus for applying a liquid to a tire shap- ing drum comprising: base means; pivot means pivotable a- bout the base means; and fluid actuator means affixed to the pivot means and associated with the base means to cause the pivot means to pivot about the base means in response to ac- tuation of the fluid actuator means. Liquid absorbing means are associated with the pivot means. Liquid pumping means are adapted to provide liquid to the liquid absorbing means through a conduit in constant fluid communication with the pumping means and the absorbing means wherein the liquid pumping means provides liquid to the liquid absorbing means in response to the pivoting of the pivot means about said base means.
