A card reader (100) for an automated banking machine (10) is provided. The card reader includes a processor (106) and a card transport (102). The card transport moves at least one card a plurality of cycles between a first position and a second position within the card transport. The card transport continuously moves the card in a first direction for a first time period at a first speed, then continuously moves the card in the first direction for a second time period at a second speed which is slower than the first speed. Subsequent to the second time period, the card transport moves the card in the first direction for a third time period, during which the card stops and starts moving more than five times. Both the second and third time periods vary from cycle to cycle responsive to a variable parameter determined by the at least one processor.
L'invention concerne un lecteur de cartes (100) pour guichet automatique bancaire (100). Le lecteur de cartes comprend un processeur (106) et un dispositif de transport de carte (102). Le dispositif de transport de carte déplace au moins une carte en plusieurs cycles, entre une première position et une seconde position à l'intérieur du dispositif de transport. Le dispositif de transport de carte déplace continuellement la carte dans une première direction pendant un premier laps de temps, selon une première vitesse, puis déplace continuellement la carte dans la première direction pendant un deuxième laps de temps, selon une seconde vitesse plus lente que la première vitesse. Après le second laps de temps, le dispositif de transport de carte déplace la carte dans la première direction pendant un troisième laps de temps au cours duquel la carte s'arrête et reprend son mouvement plus de cinq fois. Tant le deuxième que le troisième laps de temps varient de cycle en cycle en réponse à un paramètre variable déterminé par le(s) processeur(s).
