A motorized mixer (10) for mixing bone cement for use in attachment of prosthetics and method for using the mixer (10). The mixer comprises a mixing chamber, a liner (30) in the mixing chamber, an impeller (90) within the liner, a motor for driving the impeller (90) and programmable means (16) for regulating the operations of the motor. An impeller (90) for use in a mixer (10) for mixing bone cement having a mixing chamber and means for mixing cement within the chamber that allows the simultaneous exposure of the mixing chamber and the post-cement delivery area to a vacuum source to prevent air from being folded into the cement during mixing and post-mixing transfer as well as aiding in the ease of cement transfer from the mixing chamber to the post-mixing cement collection area.

Ledit malaxeur (10) comprend une chambre de mélange, un doublage (30) se plaçant dans la chambre, un rotor (90) placé dans le doublage, un moteur d'entraînement du rotor (90) et un moyen programmable commandant le fonctionnement du moteur.
