lexible automated trowel for a slipforming machine that can be used to finish a continuous trapezoid wall with one straight side and one that slopes upwards or with two sloping sides. A mould containing the trowel has two straight sides and an enlargement set back from a forming line. A smoothing knife is positioned in the slope direction and begins moving from the enlargement while following the sloping wall. The knife can have a concave shape on one contact surface so as to produce an upper convex face on the continuous wall. Material such as cement for curbs and street gutters and for smoothing operations in the entrances of houses can be cast continuously, requiring little finishing work.
