A central system controller (12) located at a remote service facility performs the centralized processing of the various refueling transaction requests originating from a network of service station sites (14). The transaction request is transmitted by the customer from a vehicle RF transceiver to a dispenser equipped RF transceiver where it is routed through an on-site dedicated controller to the central system controller (12) over a long-haul communications link (16). The central system controller (12) processes the transaction and directs the dedicated controller to render operative control of the fuel dispenser and an associated hydraulic arm assembly that selectively maneuvers the nozzle assembly into fueling engagement with the vehicle in an automated fashion. The central controller (12) is connected to other commercial retailers such as online merchants to permit the customer to request additional transactions unrelated to the refueling activity. Video linkage between the system controller and other commercial retailers is also possible.
L'invention concerne un organe de commande de système central (12) situé à une installation de service à distance, qui traite de manière centralisée diverses demandes de transaction de ravitaillement en carburant provenant d'un réseau de sites de stations-service (14). La demande de transaction est transmise par le client à partir d'un émetteur-récepteur HF de véhicule vers un émetteur-récepteur HF équipé d'un distributeur, d'où elle est acheminée par un organe de commande spécialisé sur place vers l'organe de commande de système central (12) sur une liaison de communication longue distance (16). L'organe de commande de système central (12) traite la transaction et commande l'organe de commande spécialisé de façon à exploiter le distributeur de carburant ainsi qu'un ensemble bras hydraulique associé, ce dernier manoeuvrant de manière sélective l'ensemble buse pour le mettre en contact de ravitaillement avec le véhicule de façon automatique. L'organe de commande de système central (12) est connecté à d'autres détaillants tels que des commerçants en ligne pour permettre au client de faire des demandes de transactions supplémentaires non liées au ravitaillement en carburant. Une liaison vidéo entre l'organe de commande de système et d'autres détaillants est également possible.
