A method for inspecting ophtalmic parts comprising colorants, wherein the ophthalmic part es enspected for a possible decentration of the colored area by establishing and comparing the center of said colored area with the center of a reference means, and wherein the ophthalmic part is inspected for possible detective areas by pixelwise comparing intensities of an image of a standar ophthalmic part with the intensities of an image of the ophthalmic part to be inspected.
