A container handling system is disclosed, including subsystems for accessing, grabbing, lifting and tipping collection containers into the charging compartment of a collection vehicle, or the like, and thereafter returning emptied containers to their pick up locations. The invention includes an automated, short radius pivot arm capable of operation in close quarters which may further be mounted to and operated by means of a hydraulic rotary actuator. Electronic control is also provided.

L'invention concerne un système de manipulation de conteneur, qui comprend des sous-systèmes de traitement des conteneurs de collecte: accès, préhension, élévation et bascule dans le compartiment de charge d'un véhicule de ramassage, ou autre, puis retour des conteneurs vides aux emplacements de ramassage. L'invention concerne un bras pivot automatique à faible rayon, opérationnel dans des espaces étroits, et susceptible d'être monté sur actionneur hydraulique rotatif. Un système de commande électronique est également prévu.
