A method and apparatus (10) are disclosed for performing finishing operations on at least one graphics area (50) on a graphics sheet (40), the graphics sheet having a graphics side, an opposite process side, and reference features (e.g. corners A-D), the graphics side bearing the graphics area(s) and registration marks (52A, 52B, etc.) in predetermined positions with respect to the graphics area(s). The method comprises positioning the graphics sheet on a sheet-receiving surface (2), sensing from the graphics side the positions of the registration marks, determining the coordinates of the graphics area(s) with respect to the sheet-receiving surface as if viewable from the process side, and performing finishing operations on the process side of the graphics sheet based on such determination, whereby such process-side finishing operations compensate for variations of the graphics area(s).
Il est prévu une méthode et un appareil (10) pour réaliser la terminaison d'opérations sur au moins une zone de graphiques (50) sur une feuille de graphiques (40), la feuille de graphiques ayant un côté de graphiques, un côté de processus opposé, et des fonctions de référence (ex. coins A-D), le côté des graphiques supportant la ou les zones de graphiques et les marques de contrôle du registre (52A, 52B, etc.) dans des positions prédéterminées par rapport à la ou les zones de graphiques. La méthode comprend le positionnement de la feuille de graphiques sur une surface réceptrice de feuille (2), en interprétant depuis le côté des graphiques les positions des marques de contrôle du registre, en déterminant les coordonnées de la ou des zones de graphiques par rapport à la surface réceptrice de feuille comme si visible depuis le côté de processus, et réalisant la terminaison d'opérations sur le côté de processus de la feuille des graphiques basée sur une telle détermination, où de telles opérations de terminaison de côté de processus compensent les variations de la ou des zones de graphiques.
